Course Details

Pearson Test of English (PTE) is a computer-based English test approved by the Australian government as a tool to measure language proficiency of people who want to study, live and work. This course offers intensive training to cover the four essential macro-skills: Reading, Writing, Listening and Speaking. We are the most experienced PTE training centre in Australia. Together with our research and development team, our highly qualified and experienced PTE Teachers have designed and successfully implemented the ultimate teaching practices that resulted in hundreds of students achieving their desired PTE score. Course Structure: The course is a 12-week course with 20 face-to-face hours per week. Students will receive face-to-face and online training to enhance all four essential macro-skills. The core curriculum is based on the textbook - ‘The Official Guide to the Pearson Test of English Academic New Edition Pack 2nd Edition’ which includes real exam questions. A full computer-based mock test will be conducted every four weeks to check the students’ academic progress. Students will also have access to MyEnglishLab, the online portal, where they can: Practice for the exam wherever they are and as often as they want; Access to a wide range of interactive activities; Enjoy a variety of video guides that walk them through the exam process; Attendance (for Student visa holders): Students are required to sit a placement test prior to commencing their studies to ensure they enrol in the correct level. There are weekly progress tests which test macro skills such as listening, reading, speaking, and writing. Attendance, classroom participation, and homework completion, as well as Progress Test scores, are considered when students are promoted to the next Proficiency Level. Entry Pre-Requisites: Suitable level of English Proficiency on a pre-entry test (CEFR B2 – Upper-Intermediate) IELTS overall score of 5.0 or equivalent Completed General English Intermediate (if the course has been completed with a different provider, an internal language proficiency test is to be completed). Minimum age of 18.
