Why were you drawn to Adelaide as your study destination?

Adelaide stood out to me because of its peaceful, safe environment and affordable living standards. Despite not having family here, I quickly adapted and built a strong network of friends. The vibrant international student community also played a key role in making Adelaide feel like home.

Why did you choose TAFE SA?

I chose TAFE SA to deepen my understanding of holistic care through the Certificate IV and Diploma in Community Services (Case Management). With over 10 years of experience as a registered nurse and community health worker, I wanted to gain practical skills that would transform my approach to community services. TAFE SA provided the hands-on learning I was looking for, and the support from experienced lecturers has been invaluable.

What has your student experience at TAFE SA been like?

TAFE SA has given me the practical tools and real-life experience needed to transition from a student to a professional. The hands-on approach has taught me to address not only the physical but also the emotional, social, and spiritual needs of the people I care for. The supportive community at TAFE SA made adapting to a new country much easier, and I’m proud to have secured a full-time role as a Care Leader in Adelaide.

What's next?

I plan to further my studies in Public Health or Health Management, using TAFE SA’s pathways to continue my professional development. My long-term goal is to make a meaningful impact in community services and bring my family to live with me in Adelaide.
